FeatherSite - The Poultry Page
www.feathersite.com/Poultry/BRKPoultryPage.html
This site is great for learning about breeds of chickens. Please note that some of the breeds listed are NOT in the standard and could only be displayed (not judged) at the fair. You need to scroll way down on the front page to get to the Table of Contents.

Murray McMurray Hatchery
www.mcmurrayhatchery.com/
This Hatchery offers over 140 varieties of chicks, bantams, turkeys, game birds, peafowl, waterfowl, guineas plus books, equipment, eggs, incubators, and medicine. Always check the Standard of Perfection to make sure that the breed and variety of the birds you are buying are recognized. Don't assume that the catalog is accurate.

IDEAL POULTRY Breeding Farms, Inc.
www.ideal-poultry.com
This hatchery does not have the variety that some of the bigger hatcheries offer. However, they keep all their breeder birds on-sight and therefore may have better control on quality. As with any hatchery, always check the Standard. One good tip to getting better show birds from a hatchery is to only get a couple breeds. That way, you will have a better selection to choose from when fair time comes around. More birds = More chance of getting one or two really good ones.
